Aloe Lotion Ingredients
Aloe vera lotions aren’t just good: they are amazing at hydrating the skin, leaving it smooth and velvety. But aloe vera has been long used to treat burned and damaged skin, so you know it’s an ingredient with plenty of skin-care benefits for several situations.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup aloe vera gel
- 1 tsp. + 1 TBSP beeswax pastilles
- 1/2 cup almond oil or jojoba oil (or any other liquid oil)
- 1 tsp. vitamin E oil (optional)
- 1 TBSP shea butter (optional)
- essential oils of choice
Directions:
To make your own aloe lotion, you will first have to melt the shea butter, alongside the almond oil and beeswax. You can use the bain-marie method, which implied putting the ingredients in a clean bowl over a pan of hot water, so that the heat can melt and blend them. Stir the ingredients together and then remove the mixture from the heat.
The next step requires using either a regular blender or an immersion one, in which case you will have to place the melted ingredients inside a mason jar. When this mixture has cooled to room temperature, you will notice that they start hardening around the edges.
If you want to add vitamin E to the recipe, pour it over the mixture, together with the essential oils of your choice. Regardless of the type of blender you’re using, start it on the lowest setting and begin mixing. Slowly add aloe vera gel until the mixture is homogeneous. You will have to use a spatula to scrape the mixture off the edges and into the container, all whilst you keep blending.
When you’re done, you can store the lotion in a clean container, which can be kept in the fridge for a maximum of six weeks.
Homemade Lotion: A Non-Greasy Moisturizer
Here we have a recipe that’s perfect for your body and your hands. It has a creamy consistency, and a blend of ingredients that’s perfect for dry or damaged skin. This lotion is quickly absorbed by the skin, and is made with light ingredients that won’t give your skin that oily look most people try to avoid.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup pure aloe vera gel, distilled water, or strong-brewed herbal tea
- ½ cup grated beeswax,
- ½ cup sweet almond, grapeseed, or jojoba oil
- 1 tsp. Vitamin E oil
- 15 drops essential oil
Directions:
Take a medium-sized down and mix together the essential oil, vitamin E, and aloe vera gel. If the mixture isn’t coming together, you can consider placing the bowl on top of a warm water bath. When the mixture is ready, set it aside to allow it to reach room temperature.
Use a glass measuring cup to which you add oil (jojoba, sweet almond, etc.) and beeswax. Using the bain-marie technique, place the cup in a pan of gently boiling water, stirring the ingredients together as the wax melts.
Put the beeswax mixture inside a blender and leave it there to cool. When you notice that this blend has cooled down, but is still soft, add the aloe vera mixture in slowly. Blend the ingredients together, but stop every once in a while to run a spoon or a spatula around the sides, making sure that all ingredients are incorporated.
Continue mixing for about 10 to 15 minutes, until the blend has reached the desired consistency. When done, put the lotion inside a clean jar. It can be stored in the refrigerator for weeks.
Lotion Bar #1
If you want an upgrade from regular body lotion and switch to a lotion bar, we have a recipe that’s made with moisturizing and nourishing ingredients. By using ingredients such as shea butter, this lotion bar is skin smoothing, boosting the skin’s collagen production.

Once the ingredients have been mixed together, remove the jar from the hot water, and leave it to cool a bit. While still soft, add the essential oils and mix the contents of the jar once again.
Using the silicone mold of your choice, pour the mixture inside and allow them to set and cool.
Homemade Lotion with Frankincense, Lavender & Peppermint Oils
Olive oil is rich in fatty acids, which makes it an important ingredient in a healthy person’s diet. However, the benefits of olive oil are way more extended. It turns out that olive oil can prevent sun damage, being a perfect ingredient in lotions for solar protection. Thanks to a little something called squalene, olive oil can hydrate the skin, but also acts as an antioxidant that fights free radicals.
Ingredients:
- ¼ cup olive oil
- 3 tablespoons coconut oil
- 1 tablespoon beeswax
- 1 tablespoon shea butter
- 10 drops frankincense essential oil
- 10 drops lavender essential oil
- 5 drops peppermint essential oil
Directions:
Using the bain-marie technique, place a bowl inside a pan with hot water, and add the beeswax, coconut oil, shea butter, and olive oil inside. Stir the ingredients until the mixture has blended and melted.
Remove the bowl from the pan, and then add the essential oils. Leave the mixture to cool and, using a hand blender or a mixer, blend the ingredients for a couple of minutes, to give the lotion a more creamy consistency.
Natural Anti-Aging Body Lotion Recipe with SPF
The damage that UV sunlight causes our skin is something most of us tend to overlook. In time, the effects of direct sunlight become more visible, and while everyone enjoys a nice than, nobody likes wrinkles or damaged skin. Here is a recipe based on the benefits of zinc oxide that add solar protection to a body lotion that can be applied every time you leave the house.
Ingredients:
- ½ cup unrefined Shea Butter
- 2- ½ Tablespoons Apricot Kernel Oil
- 2- ½ Tablespoons Argan Oil
- 1 teaspoon Non-Nano Zinc Oxide
- 5 drops Carrot Seed Essential Oil
- 5 drops Frankincense Essential Oil
- 5 drops Geranium Essential Oil
- 5 drops Lavender Essential Oil
Directions:
The first step in creating this amazing anti-aging solution is to make sure that the shea butter is smooth. For this, you will need a mixer to whip it up. Then, add the argan oil and apricot kernel oil while continuously mixing.
Grab a spoon and mix in the zinc oxide, and the mixer will most likely blow it away. Go back to your mixer, and now blend in the essential oils. Continue mixing until the consistency is fluffy.
Those of you that want more SPF can add an extra two tablespoons of non-nano zinc oxide.
Homemade All-natural Pumpable Lotion
Oats have a surprising number of benefits when it comes to skincare. The high content of lipids and protein make oats great for skin moisturizing, while the antioxidants are believed to help with aging skin. Oats can also help with reducing the itchy sensation caused by many different skin conditions.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of water
- 1/4 cup of oats
- 1/2 cup of almond oil (olive or jojoba work too)
- 1/2 cup of coconut oil
- 3 tbsp. beeswax
- 1 tbsp. vitamin E oil
- 1 tbsp. raw honey
- Young Living essential oils (optional)
Directions:
Grab a clean bowl and place the oats and water inside. Cover the bowl and leave the oats to soak in water overnight (about 12 hours should do the trick).
The next day, drain the oats, but don’t throw away the water. Using a spatula, make sure that you get all the juices out of the oatmeal. After that, you can eat the oatmeal, throw it away, or do whatever, because you won’t need it for this recipe. Then, take half a cup of oatmeal water and save it for later.
Take another bowl and add the honey, beeswax, coconut oil, and almond oil inside. Microwave these ingredients (you can melt them in a bain-marie as well), but make sure that you stir them from time to time.
To quickly cool the oil, place it inside the refrigerator for about 45 minutes, or in the freezer for about 15.
After that, mix the oatmeal water with the oil mixture, plus whatever other essential oil you might be using in this recipe. Use a mixer for the best results. Mix until the blend is thick and looks like a lotion.
Use an empty and clean lotion bottle to store, preferably one that has a pump, for easier application. To keep the lotion fresh for longer, consider storing it in the fridge on really hot days.
Coconut Oil Lotion
Coconut oil is one of the kings of healthy skin. It has antimicrobial properties induced by the fatty acids inside the oil, helping the skin stay protected in the face of microorganisms. It also helps reduce inflammation, which is present in a lot of different skin disorders and conditions. Coconut oil is also believed to be able to treat acne, because of its anti-inflammatory properties.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups of virgin coconut oil
- 2 teaspoons of vitamin E oil
- 6 to 10 drops of essential oil (your fragrance of choice)
Directions:
Mix the vitamin E oil and coconut oil with a hand blender for about five minutes. The end result has to be homogenous and have a texture rich in volume.
Add the essential oils of your choice and mix for another 30 seconds. Use a clean container to store the mixture, and always keep the lotion is a cool place, away from direct sunlight.
Homemade Glycerin Lotion Recipe
Glycerin is in the top three most used ingredients in the cosmetics industry. It is an important element of good lotions and moisturizers, because studies have shown that it can bring great benefits to your skin. Glycerin is a humectant, which means that it can take in water from deep inside the skin and pulls it to the surface. Glycerin is generally combined with ingredients that can trap moisture to the skin’s surface.
Ingredients:
- 4.5 oz Coconut Oil
- 1.5 oz Emulsifying Wax
- 16 oz Distilled Water
- 8 oz Glycerin
- 10-15 drops Essential Oils (in the fragrance of your choice)
Directions:
Place the emulsifying wax and the coconut oil inside a clean bowl in a pan of hot water. Heat until the ingredients have melted, and stir them using a spoon.
Remove the bowl from the water, and then add glycerin, distilled water, and the essential oils of your choice, if you want to add a particular fragrance to the lotion.
Once everything has been mixed together, pour the content into clean jars or bottles. Make sure that you use the lotion every day, for the best results.
Cooling Mint-Aloe Body Lotion
Aloe vera has always been used to treat skin problems. That’s because the plant is rich in polysaccharides, which are compounds that aid in skin repair, helping generate new skin cells. Since aloe vera gel is mostly made of water, it can hydrate the skin, whilst helping it lock in moisture. Because it can stimulate fibroblast activity, aloe vera is also a booster of collagen activity, making the skin more elastic.
Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup grated beeswax
- 1/2 cup coconut oil
- 1/2 cup aloe vera gel
- 1/8 teaspoon peppermint essential oil
Directions:
Place the coconut oil and beeswax in a clean bowl over a pan of hot water. Heat and mix the ingredients together until they’ve both melted and blended together. Make sure that you don’t overheat the ingredients because you want to preserve the benefits of coconut oil.
Remove the bowl from the heat, and grab a hand whisk for the following step. Add the essential peppermint oil and the room-temperature aloe vera gel into the mixture, and whisk thoroughly.
Allow the lotion to cool down to room temperature (it should take between two and four hours), and then whisk again if you want the lotion to have a fluffier consistency. Due to the fact that aloe vera will evaporate in time, expect the lotion to become thicker as the days go by.

DIY Organic Baby Lotion Recipe
A baby’s skin is extremely sensitive and should be treated as such. Carefully selecting the ingredients that can be part of a baby lotion can be daunting, particularly if you don’t know what effects these ingredients have on the skin. Below is a formula that’s safe to use inside a baby lotion, but you’ll have to research the essential oils you want to add to the mixture, to make sure they’re ok to use. Take note that if your baby is under three months of age, you shouldn’t add any essential oils to the mixture.
Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup organic cocoa butter
- 1/4 cup organic coconut oil
- 1 tablespoon organic beeswax pastilles
- 2 teaspoons of vitamin E oil
- 5 drops of essential oil that’s safe for babies
- Clean container to store the lotion
Directions:
Grab a clean glass down and place it inside a pan of hot water on the stove. In the jar, place the beeswax, coconut oil, and cocoa butter. Stir the mixture to make sure the ingredients all melt and blend properly.
Once the mixture has melted, add the vitamin E oil and the essential oil that’s baby-safe. Mix the ingredients thoroughly and then pour the lotion inside a storage container.
If you want the lotion to have a fluffier texture, you can whip the ingredients up after they’ve melted.
Handmade Lotion – Body Butter
Natural lotions are slowly growing their fanbase, because of the health benefits of ingredients that aren’t processed or created in a lab. Since nature has always given us the elements we need to survive, extracts and oils that are used to make natural lotions are pretty much everything we need to make sure our skin stays healthy.
Ingredients:
#1 Recipe:
- 1/2 cup cocoa butter
- 1/2 cup Unrefined coconut oil
- 1/4 cup apricot kernel oil or almond oil
- 2 tsp grated beeswax
- 10,000 IU of Vitamin E oil from capsule
#2 Recipe:
- 1 cup shea butter
- 1/2 cup coconut oil
- 1/2 cup almond oil
- 1/2 tbsp vitamin E oil
Directions:
For the first recipe, place all the ingredients inside a bowl that goes over a pan of hot water. Mix the ingredients together on low heat until they’ve melted. Pour the lotion inside one or several empty containers and allow them to cool before using.
For the second recipe (to make the body butter), melt the ingredients using the same bain-marie technique. When the ingredients are melted, place them in a large mixing bowl. Allow the mixture to cool until the color darkens, and then use a mixer to whip the ingredients. Since the results will have a thicker consistency, use a spoon to place the butter inside clean containers.
Honey Lotion
Honey isn’t just delicious, it’s also a great skincare product ingredient. Chronic skin conditions are often treated with products that are based on honey. You must have tried a honey face mask at least once up until now and witness how it leaves the skin glowing. Honey is an ingredient that can help the skin heal faster, but it also helps acne scars fade.
Ingredients:
- 5 tbsp. emulsifying wax
- 1 tbsp. liquid lanolin
- 1/4 cup coconut oil
- 1 tsp. honey
Directions:
This is one of the easiest and most straightforward recipes for body lotion: just place the ingredients in a bowl on top of a pan of hot water, and mix them until you get a smooth result. Place the lotion inside a clean jar and store it in a cool place.
Silky Smooth Beeswax DIY Lotion
People that live in dry areas have to use a body lotion. It helps the skin trap moisture, preventing cracks and damages that don’t just look bad, but also cause discomfort. The recipe below has a very creamy texture, feeling really pleasant when rubbed against the skin. It also gives you the freedom to customize the scent by adding the essential oils that you like most.
Ingredients:
- ¾ cup of almond oil
- 1 tbsp. of vitamin E oil

- 2 tbsp. of cocoa butter
- 1 tbsp. of beeswax pellets
- 1 cup of distilled water
- 30 to 40 drops of your favorite essential oils

When the ingredients have melted and blended, feel free to use a hand mixer to whip the lotion (this process changes the consistency and makes the lotion thicker).
Non-Greasy Homemade Lotion Recipe
When you have oily skin, using lotions or cream can be a real nuisance, because it makes your body look all sticky and greasy. To prevent that from happening, people buy lotions that are specially designed for oily skin, which feature ingredients that are quickly absorbed by the skin. The lotion recipe below isn’t just for oily skin, but also helps those who are sensitive.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup Distilled Water
- 1/2 cup pure Aloe Vera Gel
- 1/2 cup Grated Beeswax or Beeswax Pastilles
- 1/4 cup Fractionated Coconut Oil
- 1/4 cup Jojoba oil
- 1 tsp. Vitamin E oil or Rosemary Extract
- 16 drops Essential oils in the fragrances of your choice
Directions:
Use the bain-marie technique to melt the beeswax. In a separate bowl, mix the aloe vera gel and the water, and then bring this mixture to the same temperature as the beeswax.
Take the melted beeswax and combine it with the coconut oil inside a food processor or blender. Mix these two at a slow speed, and then add the water mixture on top of it. Pour the water mixture slowly, and you will see how the lotion starts to emulsify. You might have to stop the blender from time to time and scrape the sides of the bowl.
Blend the mixture until it reaches a consistency that you are happy with. This process may take up to 15 minutes. Then, put the vitamin E oil inside, together with the essential oils of your choice.
When the lotion is ready, place it inside containers and store them in a cool place. The lotion should be good for about three months.
Homemade Lavender-Chamomile Sleepy-Time Lotion Recipe
This recipe is a bit longer and more complex than the others you’ve read so far. It is a calming homemade lotion that uses the power of chamomile and lavender to induce a state of relaxation that can put you to sleep. The recipe uses chamomile because of its anti-inflammatory properties. For a long time, chamomile tea has been the go-to method of traditional medicine as a solution to relaxing the body and helping people sleep. Lavender, on the other hand, is known to reduce anxiety and helps people relax.
Ingredients:
- 5 tbsp. lavender buds
- 5 tbsp. chamomile flowers
- 3 ounces of solid coconut oil
- 6 ounces of infused liquid jojoba oil
- 1 and ½ ounces of grated beeswax
- 8 ounces of distilled water
- Scale
- Chamomile or lavender essential oil
Directions:
The first step requires infusing your oil. To do that, you will need a double boiler. Put 5 teaspoons of lavender buds and 5 of chamomile flowers inside, plus jojoba oil. As the water is gently boiling, infuse the oil for about two hours, and stirring every now and then.
When the oil is done infusing, strain it by using a clean cloth (if you have a fine mesh strainer, even better). You can then throw away the herbs.
Turning to the double boiler method again, combine 3 ounces of solid coconut oil with the grated beeswax and six ounces of infused jojoba oil. Melt the mixture and stir in order to blend all the ingredients together. Remove the bowl from the heater water and allow the mixture to cool to body temperature. In order to keep the texture smooth, stir the mixture from time to time.
When the concoction has cooled down, bring 8 ounces of distilled water to body temperature and place it inside a blender. Gently add a thin stream of oil into the water, with the blender turned on a low setting. A few minutes in, you should notice that the mixture gains a creamy texture, which will get smoother the more you mix it.
Those of you that plan to add essential oils to the recipe, pour in just a few drops, so that you can gradually increase the fragrance up to a point where it feels enough for you.
Good Night Lotion
Want a relaxation lotion that’s easier to make compared to the previous one? The Good Night lotion isn’t just faster to make, but also requires fewer ingredients. The ingredients are 100% safe, which means that you can use the lotion on children if you want to. It’s based on the benefits that coconut oil and lavender have on the skin, soothing the senses and reducing anxiety up to a point where you are ready to fall asleep.
Ingredients:
- 1 tbsp. Shea butter
- 2 tbsp. coconut oil
- 2 tbsp. avocado oil
- 2 tbsp. double-strength magnesium oil (mix 1 tbsp. warm water with 2 tbsp. magnesium chloride flakes)
- 1 tbsp. beeswax
- 15 drops lavender essential oil
Directions:
Using the bain-marie technique, melt the beeswax, coconut oil, and shea butter in a bowl placed on top of a hot water pan.
Once these ingredients have melted, remove the bowl from the water and add the magnesium oil, avocado oil, and the essential oil into the mixture and stir.
Then, turn to a blender to mix the ingredients until you’ve created an opaque and thick lotion. Transfer the lotion into a clean container and use it every time you’re looking to induce a state of relaxation.
Lotion for Leg Cramps & Growing Pains
Growing pains are quite common amongst children, particularly when they have growth spurts that cause aching joints and muscle pain. To reduce inflammation, you can use this lotion, which is based on magnesium oil and aloe vera gel. The recipe also contains arnica, which is excellent in treating inflammation.
Ingredients:
- 3 ounces Arnica & Comfrey Infused Oil
- 1/2 ounce Beeswax
- 1/2 ounce Stearic Acid
- 1.5 ounces Shea Butter
- 1.5 ounces Magnesium Oil
- 1.5 ounces Aloe Vera Gel
- 2 teaspoons arrowroot powder
- a few drops of peppermint & lavender essential oil
- preservative
Directions:
The first step in making your own growing pain lotion is to infuse the oil made from comfrey and arnica. Add two tablespoons of each plant’s leaves in a jar. Cover the leaves with six ounces of sunflower oil. Place the jar on top of a pan with gently boiling water, to improvise a double boiler.
Leave the jar with the plants and the oil on low heat for about two or three hours. You might have to check the pan to see if the water evaporates and add some more if so. Also, make sure that the oil doesn’t heat too much, or you’ll fry your herbs. When the oil is done infusing, use a strainer or a clean cloth to transfer the liquid into a clean jar.
Now it’s time to make the actual lotion. Using the same double boiler method, mix ½ ounces of stearic acid, ½ ounces of beeswax, and three ounces of herbal infused oil in a bowl placed on top of a hot water pan. Leave the mixture on low heat until the wax melts.
Turn off the stove and add 1.5 ounces of shea butter, mixing continuously until it melts. Remove the bowl from the hot water and leave it somewhere to cool down to body temperature. You might notice a thin layer on top, but the mixture is still liquid underneath.
As you’re waiting for the wax mixture to cool down, mix together in a separate bowl 1.5 ounces of aloe vera gel together with 1.5 ounces of magnesium oil. Put the bowl in a pan of hot water that you previously used to melt the wax, just to warm it up a bit. You don’t need to light the stove.
Once all the mixtures are down to body temperature, it’s time for them to meet. Use a hand mixer in the oil mixture while you slowly add the aloe vera and magnesium. Stir the mixture for about five minutes, then stop the mixer to add the arrowroot powder, plus any essential oils you might want to add.
Continue mixing for four more minutes, until the lotion has a thicker texture. Overall, the lotion should be a bit thicker than pancake batter. Pour the lotion into a clean container and enjoy a natural cramp and pain lotion.
2,000-Year-Old Lotion Recipe
The following recipe is based on ingredients that you know can’t fail. Almond oil has plenty of vitamin E and is a great moisturizing agent, making sure that your skin doesn’t run dry. Raw honey also helps with most types of skin, but also acts as a UV barrier in SPF body lotions and creams. The formula uses rosewater for a pleasant fragrance, but also beeswax, which is one of the most used stiffening ingredients in the cosmetics and skincare industry.
Ingredients:
- 1 tbsp. of raw honey
- 8 tbsp. of grated beeswax
- 200 ml of almond oil
- ½ cup of rosewater
Directions:
By placing a clean bowl over a pan of hot water, melt the almond oil together with the raw honey and beeswax. Once the ingredients have melted, remove the bowl from the water and start adding rosewater, one drop at a time.
You might notice that the cream begins to bead. If this happens, stop adding rosewater and continue stirring, as the lotion will cool down and gain a nice texture in the end.
Once the lotion has reached your desired texture, pour it in cool jars and store it until you’re ready to use it. It’s normal for the lotion to go lighter in color as it cools down, so don’t panic if that happens.
Non-Greasy Lotion
If you have oily skin and would love a really light, but really hydrating lotion, this mixture is bound to give you what you’re looking for. The almond oil in the recipe below can be substituted for olive oil, if you find it easier and have some lying around the house.
Ingredients:
- 2 tbsp. of Grated Beeswax
- 1/2 Cup of Sweet Almond Oil
- 2 tbsp. of Vitamin E Oil
- 2 tbsp. of Cocoa Butter
- 3/4 Cup of Water
Directions:
Using the well-known double boiler method, proceed to melting your cocoa butter, your almond oil, and beeswax. Then, add vitamin E to the mixture.
Add water to a blender base. With the blender turned on, add the oils to the mixture. Make sure that you pour very slowly, until the lotion has reached a creamy consistency. When you’re done, pour the mixture in clean containers and store them in the fridge.
Ultra-Moisturizing Basic Lotion Recipe
The recipe below is a bit more complicated in the sense that you’ll have to be super careful when and how you add more ingredients to the lotion. Since some of them are heat-sensitive, it’s very important to add them into the mixture at just the right time, to get the best results.
Ingredients:
Water-based ingredients:
- 70 g distilled water
- 40 g floral hydrosol like chamomile, rose, or lavender.
- 3 g aloe vera gel
- 3 g glycerine
Oil-based ingredients:
- 20 g organic grapeseed oil (infused with herb of choice)
- 20 g organic sunflower oil (infused with herb of choice)
- 8 g BTMS
- 8 g cetyl alcohol
- 4 drops Vitamin E oil
Cool phase ingredients:
- 6 g leucidal
- 4 g panthenol (Vitamin B5)
- 8-12 drops essential oil of choice (optional)
Directions:
Improvise a double boiler and heat the grapeseed, sunflower oil, the BTMS, cetyl alcohol, and vitamin E oil. Simultaneously, heat the distilled water, glycerine, aloe vera gel, and floral hydrosol. Make sure that both of these mixtures are kept at 160 degrees for 20 minutes, to kill any bacteria.
Mix the oil and water ingredients in a mixing bowl, making sure that you add the oils first. Use a hand mixer, and you will notice how the mixture will thicken up.
As the mixture cools down to about 80 degrees, add the cool phase ingredients. Mix continuously until the lotion has a fluffy consistency. Add it to clean containers and use it any time you like.

- 2g | 2% panthenol
- 1g | 1% hydrolyzed silk
Heated oil ingredients:
- 4.33g | 4.33% Polawax
- 2g | 2% sea buckthorn fruit oil
- 5g | 5% mango butter
- 6g | 6% apricot kernel oil
Cool down ingredients:
- 1g | 1% natural mango fragrance oil
- 0.5g | 0.50% liquid germall plus
Directions:
Simmer one inch of water on low heat inside a saute pan. Weigh the ingredients listed above in the heater water phase and make a note of the weight. Do the same with the heated oil phase ingredients, in a new and clean glass measuring cup.
Then, place both of these batches of ingredients in the double boiler to melt them. It should take about 20 to 30 minutes for the oils to be melted and the water to be dissolved.
Remove the mixture from the double boiler and weigh the water ingredients with their glass measuring cup again. Now, you have to add hot distilled water to bring the weight back up to the number you got before heating. Once that is done, pour the water mixture into the oil one and stir using a clean spatula.
By using an immersion blender, mix the oil and water ingredients together for about a minute, then set it aside for ten minutes. Repeat the process until the glass measuring cup that holds the ingredients is barely warm. The lotion should be creamy and thick when ready.
When the lotion has cooled down, you can add the cool down ingredients, and stir to incorporate them.
